CAUTION!
Friends -- I hear rumors, and perhaps they are just that, but I hear rumors about Africans writing to the US for money. When I throw out your envelopes, I tear up the return address so people will not get your name and address. But, if someone should write to you saying I gave your name as a pen pal, KNOW IT IS NOT TRUE!
These pen pal relationships always turn into a request for money at some point. We, as Americans, are automatically "rich." (You've seen Dallas, right? That's how we all live!)
So please, do not, under any circumstances, believe that I have given out your name and address to correspond, assist, or help people in any way. The Peace Corps does have a way to make direct contributions, and I will post info here, on the website, after I have the details on that method.
